ABOUT US: Happy Trails Thrift Shop opened on February 14th, 2010. We are a private owned "for-profit" business. You will love our clean, fresh smelling, well organized thrift shop with a room especially dedicated to Western furnishings & assessories. We also have a pet section where we sell fresh baked healthy dog treats and goat's milk lotion. We're not your ordinary thrift shop, we're on a mission. We keep the shop filled with unique items you won't find elsewhere. Barb Fannon, former owner of "HealthyDogExpress.com", has closed the internet storefront and opened the new thrift shop. She still provides her loyal customers with homemade dog biscuits through the shop. She continues to support local animal rescues by turning donated items into cash for local animal rescues in need of funds to feed and provide shelter for lost, abused or abandoned animals. Since the shop is a "for profit organization", donations are not tax deductible, however, your donation will positively impact Animal Rescue Groups, affordable merchandise for everyone, and our planet by recycling useable goods. Below are rescues we have donated to. How do you keep tract of donations? Donated merchandise is totaled up as we place it on the store shelves. This is how we keep tract, and know how much to donate at the end of each month. You will find great bargains on donated items, since we receive these items free. Do you give out tax deductible receipts? We can give you a tax deductible receipt for your donation on behalf of the rescues that we donate to. However, we are not in affiliation with any of the animal rescue groups that we donate to and do not carry a 501(c) (3) Non Profit Status. lostourhome.org - A nonprofit group of real estate professionals who rescue pets left behind due to foreclosures or other financial hardship. We are so happy that an organization like this one exists. Dreamchaser is an Accredited American Sanctuary and United Way Charity. A wonderful person doing what she can to help these animals. We are happy to help this organization from profits of donations that come into our shop. Uncle Jacks Cats - Uncle Jacks Cats was established to help care for the many abused, neglected, unwanted and homeless dogs and cats in Glendale, AZ and surrounding areas. They are called a rescue however, they like to think of Uncle Jacks Cats as more of a No Kill sanctuary for their mostly 4 legged friends.
